KINGSVILLE — The Kingsville Kids Entrepreneur Market will return to downtown Kingsville on Saturday, April 25, offering young participants an opportunity to run their own small businesses.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 231 E. Kleberg Ave. and is free and open to the public.
Hosted by the Kingsville Chamber of Commerce, the market is designed for children ages 5 to 14 to create and sell their own products while managing their own booths and interacting directly with customers.
Organizers say the event gives children hands-on experience with entrepreneurship and real-world business skills in a supportive, community setting.
Products may include baked goods, drinks such as lemonade or aguas frescas, handmade crafts, artwork, plants and other do-it-yourself items.
The market will be held during the Lotería Festival, with additional space available outdoors due to street closures. Organizers note that space inside is limited, and tents are encouraged for those set up outside.
The event also ties into Lemonade Day initiatives, which encourage youth to start and grow their own small businesses. Participation is limited, and those interested must apply in advance. Applicants will be notified by email if selected.
