Free lock-in party offers music, dancing and a 9:30 “Mock New Year” countdown for ages 8–15

Kingsville Parks & Recreation is inviting area youth to welcome 2025 a little early during its Kids’ Night Out — Happy New Year Party on Tuesday, Dec. 30, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Dick Kleberg Park Recreation Hall.
The event is designed as a lock-in style celebration for children ages 8 to 15, giving families a safe and supervised option during the holiday break. Activities include DJ music, dancing, concessions for purchase and a special “Mock New Year” countdown at 9:30 p.m.
The event is free to attend, and security will be on site. Parks & Recreation notes that hoodies and backpacks are not allowed inside the event for safety reasons.
