KINGSVILLE— The Kingsville Boxing Club is stepping up to help neighbors in need by offering free sandwiches every weekday evening. From Nov. 17, anyone can stop by Monday through Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to pick up a meal.
Club owner Jaime Cantu said in a post that the program was inspired by a desire to make sure no one in the community goes hungry.
“We want to give back to Kingsville and help our neighbors,” he said.
The initiative is supported by local veterans from the Coastal Plains Integrated Health MVPN program and generous community members including Alaniz Ruben, Felipe Rosa, Guillermo Martinez, Eddie Aguilera, Mammoth Construction, and Jimenez Barbecuing.
Cantu encourages anyone who could use a meal to visit the club during the designated hours and be part of a community effort to care for one another.
The Kingsville Boxing Club is located at 525 S 12th St. in Kingsville, TX.
