La Posada Children’s Day brings games, Santa & community spirit to Kingsville

By Kingsville Independent News Staff

KINGVILLE— Kingsville families are invited to kick off the holiday season with a day of fun and community spirit as Kingsville Parks & Recreation and CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Kleberg host La Posada Children’s Day on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the J.K. Northway Expo Center.

The free, family-friendly event is part of the annual La Posada de Kingsville celebration and offers children a chance to enjoy festive activities in a welcoming, community-centered environment. Kids can meet Santa, explore inflatable play areas, receive goody bags, and take part in crafts and games at no cost.

Additional attractions such as pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, and concessions will be available for a small fee.

Families attending the event are also encouraged to support the local Toys for Tots campaign by bringing a new, unwrapped toy. Each donation enters the giver into a drawing for a special prize, helping ensure more children in Kingsville and Kleberg County experience a joyful Christmas season.

La Posada Children’s Day is organized in partnership with Kingsville Healthy Family Partners and supported by local nonprofits, foundations, businesses, healthcare providers, and government agencies. The event aims to bring the community together in celebration while offering children access to fun activities and opportunities to connect with local organizations.
